Only Top talent Line Cooks encourage to apply. Established group - hot spot restaurant in Atlantic Beach, FL - high energy smart/casual is looking for strong Line Cooks with at least 5 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant - 250 covers a night.
We are looking for a few culinary talents to join our growing team of professional. Only looking for serious people who are hardworking, passionate about food and a culinary experience, enjoy learning and growth their skills. Please, before you apply reread requirements.
Pay rate between $19 to $24hr for Top Talent. Previous culinary experiences with immaculate record track is a must. A deal breaker.
Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
POSITION SUMMARY
A Line Cook's major responsibility is to prepare food, help the kitchen workers in the preparation of food items and set up allocated stations for menu, as instructed by Chef and compliant with standards. Follow Chef directions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep food standard consistency.
- Organization
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Answer, report and follow executive chef or GM instructions.
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - 5 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant - 250 covers a night.
- Italian restaurant previous experience highly preferred.
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Familiar with industry's best practices
- Culinary school diploma a plus
