Florida's first Segafredo, l'Originale is a hangout spot for locals and visitors on Lincoln Road.
Brought over from Italy in 2000, l'Originale is perfect for people watching while enjoying Italian tapas, sipping on a drink from the extensive cocktail menu and listening to great music.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Describes menu and daily specials, takes orders, serves food and makes sure customers have everything they need to enjoy their meals.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Collect payments from tables.
- Responsible for coordinating entire station and communicating front- and back-of-house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceed guest expectations.
- Processes guest orders to ensure all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis.
- Observes diners to ensure they are satisfied with food and service, responds to additional requests, and determines when the meal has been completed.
- May assist bus person in stocking, removing and resetting dishes and silverware between courses, and cleaning and resetting vacated tables.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years or more proven work experience as a server
- Proven customer service experience
- Familiarity with restaurant POS
- Team work attitude
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs
