Under the direction of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Coordinator, Director, Principal, or Vice Principal, the job of “Teacher” is done for the purpose of facilitating student success in academic skills through implementing district-approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress toward standards, activities and/or outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. The Grass Valley School District has a 150 year old heritage in the heart of the California Gold Country. We serve over 1700 children, preschool to eighth grade, in six schools; two preschools, two kindergarten through fourth grade schools, one fifth through eighth grade school, and one preschool through eighth grade charter school.
