What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garden Center and Store Manager position at Grasshopper Gardens?
We are looking for a driven store manager to be responsible for the overall of the Grasshopper Gardens retail store. The Manager will work closely with the owner in developing a fluid strategic plan; processes, procedures and strategies for the overall growth and success of the company. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction and manage staff effectively.
Responsibilities
- All store management and administration duties as assigned
- Focusing on customer service, by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating care in all interactions
- Accurately perform cashier duties - handling cash, checks and credit card transactions
- Opening and closing store
- Maintaining Nursery stock - You would be responsible for all maintenance and merchandising "Plants come first" Updating pricing information and completing inventory management tasks
- Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers
- Be a shining example of well behavior and high performance
- Inventory management
- Scheduling staff
Skills
- Must be able to stand and work for at least 8 hours per day
- Proven successful experience as a manager
- Must be able to walk, bend, crouch, stoop rake and push some equipment
- Must implement all safety procedures and precautions
- Powerful leading skills
- Customer relations skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbally and in wringing
