The Sanitation Technician plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the facility, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. This position is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, production areas, and facility spaces in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and FDA/USDA guidelines to prevent contamination and uphold food safety.
Sanitation Technicians must efficiently and effectively clean and sanitize the facility within designated timeframes, working around processing equipment and using approved cleaning chemicals. The role requires teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to perform under pressure while following strict safety protocols. Flexibility is essential, as tasks may vary based on the Supervisor’s instructions and operational needs. By maintaining a world-class level of sanitation, this position directly contributes to the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of the manufacturing environment.

Schedule: 5:00 am - 5:00 pm
- The schedule is a 2-2-3 schedule, working 7 out of 14 days, and will include weekend and holiday hours.
- Work: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday - Off: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday / Following week: Work: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - Off: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
- Clean and sanitize processing equipment and processing facilities following established sanitation procedures.
- Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.
- Properly handle and apply cleaning chemicals while following safety protocols. Ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations.
- Accurately and timely complete all sanitation and required SQF documentation.
- Wash and maintain buckets, containers, tools, foamers, scrubbers, polishers and softeners.
- Refill cleaning chemicals and change out containers when empty.
- Unload chemicals and sanitation supplies.
- Drive company truck to relocate empty drums for storage.
- Adhere to all company GMPs and Safety policies.
- Follow all company SSOPs.
- Assist custodial team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
