About the Opportunity | Assistant to Partner and Gallery Assistant
Gratin Gallery is seeking a full-time assistant to provide support to the gallery and assist with overall operations. The role involves administrative responsibilities and support for artists, curators, and clients, making it a key position in the day-to-day functioning of the gallery.
- Assist with managing artists’ studios, exhibition requests, press and image handling, and other artist needs.
- Help coordinate artist care, events, and appraisals, ensuring smooth communication between the gallery and artists.
- Support in preparing sales offers, organizing client viewings, and managing sales-related tasks.
- Assist with post-sale activities such as invoicing, coordinating shipping, and preparing consignment agreements.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors (shippers, logistics providers) to ensure timely and secure transport of artworks for both the gallery and clients.
- Assist with gallery exhibitions, working closely with the directors and multiple departments to ensure seamless execution of gallery initiatives.
- Shadow the gallery directors, assisting with schedule management and tracking meetings and commitments.
- Collaborate with teams to manage gallery projects such as exhibition planning, online viewing rooms, sales previews, and press materials.

- Possess excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop. Additional language proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Maintain discretion and professionalism, especially when dealing with artists, curators, and clients.
