Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented cabinet designer to join our dynamic team for a temporary position (with the possibility of future opportunities if it’s a good match). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior design and remodeling, with an understanding of cabinet structure and the ability to plan projects from sales to production. This role requires proficiency in design software such as Mozaik and SketchUp, along with a solid understanding of customer service and basic sales. The designer will play a key role in transforming spaces while adhering to client budgets and timelines. Sales bonuses are applied.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for interior spaces.
  • Draft detailed design plans and specifications for remodeling projects.
  • Utilize Mozaik and SketchUp to create accurate 2D and 3D design renderings.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively throughout the design process.
  • Prepare the scope of work for the production team.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for design development.
  • Select appropriate materials, furnishings, and finishes that align with the client's aesthetic preferences and budget constraints.
  • Provide expert advice on color theory, lighting options, and spatial arrangements to enhance overall design quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and innovative design techniques.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in interior design or remodeling projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Mozaik and SketchUp is essential for this role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of budgeting practices related to design projects is a plus.
  • Familiarity with color theory and lighting sales is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on client interaction.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating functional yet aesthetically pleasing spaces.

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No nights
