JOB DESCRIPTION: A supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day performance of a small group. Through direct daily employee contact a supervisor responds to employee needs and issues. Supervisors are the direct link between their manager and the floor level employees and need to be effective in executing job training, safety and quality. The supervisor has experience in what the group does, but is not necessarily better at it than everyone he/she supervises. The supervisor's job is to guide the group toward its goals, see that all members of the team are productive, and resolve problems as they arise. A supervisor does not have the power to hire or fire employees or to promote them. A supervisor recommends such action to the next level of management.

JOB DUTIES:

Is a role model and leader for the department, creates a positive hardworking environment

Assigns job duties and responsibilities for team members

Understands all processes, establishes and performs annual review of SOP’s

Oversees, monitors and conducts employee training

Ensures compliance with all policies (safety, cGMP, SOP)

Provides manager with process improvement ideas

Readily identifies problems and opportunities and quickly corrects or implements changes

Creates the weekly production schedule and ensures due dates are met
- Maintains material inventory and submits order requests to Manager

Evaluate assigned personnel and completes/participate in evaluations, progress reports and disciplinary action with assistance from the manager if/when needed

Effectively communicates orally and in writing and demonstrates the ability to follow instructions

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Salary depends on experience. High school diploma or general degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Basic computer skills are required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and proportions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, and kneel. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds but may be required to periodically lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is periodically exposed to machines that operate with high heat, possible dust particles, and odors from herbs and essential oils. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
