Position Summary :
The Gaming Operations Administrative Assistant will play a key role in ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly for the Slot and Table Games departments. Duties will consist of handling a variety of administrative tasks such as managing calendars, organizing meetings, coordinating travel arrangements and supporting the team with general office operations. The Administrative Assistant will perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions :
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Manage and maintain the Directors of Table Games and Slots schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
3. Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, letters and forms.
4. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
5. Order various supplies for departments as well as track and inventory such items.
6. Maintain contact lists.
7. Establish files and keep them neat and up to date.
8. Assist in any special projects.
9. Maintain a strong relationship with support departments through verbal communications and written correspondence.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Minimum 2 years' experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Administrative Assistant preferred.
3. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint preferred).
4. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
5. Ability to show attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
8. High School Diploma; additional qualifications as an Administrative Assistant or Secretary will be a plus.
Physical Requirements :
1. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
2. Able to lift 20 lbs. with or without assistance.
3. Able to sit for long periods of time.
4. Written and verbal knowledge of the English language.
Work Conditions :
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
