Position Summary :
The Pool Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pool and ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and enjoyment of all pool guests. This includes supervising pool team members, maintaining pool facilities, ensuring water quality, handling emergencies as needed, and managing inventory related to poolside services. The Pool Supervisor will also oversee the bar operations, ensuring efficient service and quality control of all beverages.
Essential Functions :
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Train all Pool Team Members.
3. Provide exceptional guest service to all Team Members and guests.
4. Run all scheduled shifts under the direction of department leadership.
5. Coordinate all Cabana & Daybed requests.
6. Responsible for all shipments to be picked up and organized.
7. Enforce all safety protocols and pool rules to ensure the safety of all team members and guests.
8. Ensure the pool is clean, well-maintained, and functioning properly, including monitoring water quality and pool equipment.
9. Supervise cleaning of pool decks, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
10. Greet pool guests and address inquiries, providing information about pool schedules, rules, and events.
11. Handle guests' complaints or issues in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
12. Organize and oversee pool events.
13. Work with management to plan and execute special events or promotions at the pool.
14. Conduct an inventory check as needed for poolside equipment, bar supplies, and any other necessary items.
15. Ensure the bar operates smoothly, with attention to guest service and quality of beverage offerings. Supervise bar inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and timely ordering of supplies.
16. Ensure compliance with local health regulations and facility policies.
17. Be prepared to act swiftly in the event of an emergency.
18. Perform any and all duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
- Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, Management in both written and verbal form.
- Must have strong leadership skills.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Must have technical skills including knowledge of Internet, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to train, motivate, reward, and discipline Team Members.
- Must have an aptitude for Guest Service, and the ability to work with constant schedule changes.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, and independent judgment.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and direct all aspects of the pool.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
- Minimum 2 years of previous Food & Beverage experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have flexibility to work varying work schedules based upon business demands and scheduled events.
- Must be able to obtain a Gaming License in California, California Food Handler Certification, and Responsible Beverage Service State Certification. Must keep all current required work cards on your person during your shift.

Work is typically outdoors and involves continuous exposure to high and low temperatures, sunlight, wet surfaces and noise. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
