Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Hollywood, FL (Hybrid - 2-3 Days Onsite)

Position Overview
The Network Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining network infrastructure to support data, voice, video, and wireless services. This role sits within the IT Infrastructure Team and reports to the Manager of Network. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support for routers, switches, firewalls, and VMware while optimizing network performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and subnetting.
- Troubleshoot and manage firewalls (Check Point and Palo Alto) to ensure security and compliance.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize Cisco routers, switches, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Support and troubleshoot network performance, circuit outages, and telephony/VoIP systems.
- Manage wireless networks (Cisco Meraki) and virtualized networking (VMware NSX).
- Conduct security audits, enforce IT policies, and maintain compliance with corporate standards.
- Document network configurations, provide technical support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Security and Compliance Support
- Configure and maintain firewalls (Check Point) to ensure network security and compliance.
- Monitor and respond to security threats, analyzing logs for potential vulnerabilities.
- Conduct security audits, enforce IT policies, and maintain compliance with corporate standards.
Network Design and Maintenance
- Design and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, and SD-WAN.
- Deploy and configure Cisco routers, switches, and Meraki wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues, circuit outages, and VoIP systems.
- Optimize routing, subnetting, and VPN connectivity to enhance network reliability.
Technical Support & Documentation
- Provide advanced technical support for network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain network documentation, update diagrams, and improve standard operating procedures.
- Train and assist IT staff with network troubleshooting and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Security & Compliance: 4 years with firewalls (Check Point, Fortinet, or Palo Alto) – configuration, monitoring, and security policy enforcement.
- Network Design & Maintenance: 4 years with Cisco networking (routers, switches, VLANs, SD-WAN, Meraki wireless solutions).
- Technical Support & Cloud Services: 4 years troubleshooting network-related issues and maintaining documentation. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Check Point Certified Admin (CCSA) (Preferred)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- VoIP support experience with Cisco Unified Communications, Avaya IP Office, Microsoft Teams Calling, Skype, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced IT team supporting system build-outs.
