Salary Range: $75K - $100K

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Writer to manage and produce comprehensive documentation for the IT department. This role involves developing clear and concise documentation for both internal and external audiences, including system architecture, technical processes, software applications, user manuals, procedures, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, API documentation, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing technical documentation across a variety of IT disciplines, including software, infrastructure, security, networking, and system administration.
- Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation covering all aspects of technology (software, network infrastructure, security, hardware specifications, system configurations, etc.
- Developer user manuals, installation guides, and troubleshooting documents for end-users.
- Create, update, and maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for various functions and process within the IT department.
- Developer documentation for IT workflows, onboarding processes, incident management, change management, disaster recovery, etc.
- Work closely with SME’s across each IT team to ensure documentation is accurate and aligns with that team’s objectives and expectations.
- Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) – preferably in English, Communications, Information Technology, or similar.
- Minimum of 3-5 years technical writing experience (preferably in an IT environment).
- Proven experience in documenting IT processes, software applications, etc.
- Experience creating technical documentation and instructional guides for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and convert it into easy-to-understand documentation.
- Nice to Have Experience:
- Experience with Lucidchart or other visual collaboration platforms.
- Experience using document management tools, wikis, and knowledge bases (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience creating multimedia content (tutorials, screen recordings, diagrams, etc.).
