Gravity Research, a premier research and insights organization, seeks a Director of Market Strategy & Executive Communications to strengthen awareness, engagement, and lead generation through compelling campaigns and content distribution efforts. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, ideal for a marketer skilled in content distribution, lead generation, and audience development. In this role, you will utilize ongoing research and insights to position Gravity Research as an essential partner for Fortune 500 companies addressing complex societal issues and reputational risks.

Gravity Research is an advisory research firm that equips corporations with the insights needed to proactively address public pressures. Working closely with Revenue, Research, and Thought Leadership teams, you will develop strategies to increase Gravity’s brand awareness with Fortune 1000 executives and prospective clients. You will lead content distribution, lead generation, and audience engagement initiatives that contribute directly to our growth.

Position Overview

As the Director of Market Strategy & Executive Communications, you will shape and execute our content distribution strategies, produce high-quality marketing assets, and deploy customized email campaigns. This cross-functional role requires a unique ability to balance ongoing strategic problem-solving and tactical day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation:
    • Develop and execute lead generation strategies through all available channels, including email marketing, Gravity-hosted events, and sponsored events and conferences
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality leads by leveraging content and digital channels to attract prospective clients
    • Implement tools and reports to track lead sources, measure conversion rates, and optimize campaigns for maximum lead generation
    • Partner with the revenue team to pass off qualified leads for further personalized engagement
  • Strategic Content Development:
    • Effectively leverage and tailor available content to reach target audiences and accomplish growth initiatives
    • Partner with the VP of Thought Leadership and research analysts to develop white papers, articles, case studies, infographics, and thought leadership pieces.
    • Create persuasive narratives and assets clearly articulating Gravity’s value proposition to prospective and current clients
  • Product Positioning and Sales Enablement:
    • Collaborate with product and sales teams to define product messaging and create sales enablement materials that highlight the strengths of Gravity’s services
    • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities in order to adjust strategies accordingly
  • Campaign and Event Support:
    • Plan and implement email marketing campaigns that support product launches, thought leadership, and client outreach
    • Create and manage promotional content for industry events, conferences, and webinars to drive attendance and visibility
    • Craft messaging for various external communications efforts
    • Analyze engagement and performance data to refine strategies and increase impact, focusing on lead generation and conversion metrics
Qualifications Of The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital or content marketing, lead generation, or growth strategy, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated success in executing social media and content strategies that drive measurable results, including lead generation.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex topics clearly and engagingly.
  • Proficient in social media platforms and analytics tools for tracking performance.
  • Collaborative, energetic, and capable of leading projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools (Salesforce and Marketo a plus).
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: The salary for this role is $90,000-$100,000 plus bonus potential

Location: This job is based in Washington, DC. Gravity Research operates on a hybrid schedule, with employees required to be in the office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
