Job Title: Facility Maintenance Electrician II
Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46802 (Onsite)
Shift: 1st - Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance II to join our team in a data center environment. This role requires an intermediate level of expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, responding to work orders, and ensuring facility electrical systems operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot facility electrical systems, including switchgear, breaker panels, lighting, and process equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical equipment and control circuits ranging from 24V up to 480V AC.
- Work safely near or around 13.8K voltage systems.
- Support electrical expansion projects and adhere to Federal, State, and Local electrical codes (including NFPA70e).
- Install electrical sub-panels, services, and buss plugs as required.
- Identify and correct safety-related issues while performing independent equipment evaluations.
- Communicate effectively with site management and customers to address electrical needs and solutions.
- Provide mentorship and training to less experienced technicians.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Operate diagnostic tools, measuring instruments, and hand tools to assess energy efficiency solutions.
- Work flexibly to meet client needs while maintaining a structured schedule.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience as an electrician in a data center, industrial environment, maintenance shop, or manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift at heights of 30 feet or higher.
- Strong self-motivation, organizational, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with electrical safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.65 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- HVAC: 5 years (Preferred)
- Electrician: 5 years (Preferred)
- Plumber: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- EPA Certification (Preferred)
