General Laborer

Job Summary & Work Schedule

Schedule: 5 days a week, 9 hours per day (including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks).

Position Overview & Requirements

We are seeking dedicated employees to process orders and handle the movement of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials. This is a physically demanding role requiring frequent lifting, carrying, and arranging of boxes. Employees will be required to stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, and twist throughout the shift.

Key Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing 10-100 lbs regularly without assistance.
• Ability to operate and safely handle hand trucks and pallet jacks while working on uneven and concrete surfaces.

Essential Job Functions

• Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
• Move and handle boxes, loading and unloading as necessary.
• Work independently to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including moving them across different elevations (e.g., stairs, inclines).
• Read and write in English for documentation and tracking purposes.
• Utilize a computer system to track orders and locate materials.
• Operate a handheld scanner for inventory management.
• Climb and balance on ladders as needed.
• Shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts.
• Manually load boxes onto pallets and pallets onto trucks using appropriate material-handling equipment.

This role requires individuals who are comfortable with physical labor and have experience handling warehouse equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
• Heavy lifting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Load & unload: 1 year (Preferred)
• Pallet jack: 1 year (Preferred)
