Job title: Logistics Analyst

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20-30/HR
We are seeking a Logistics Analyst to manage and coordinate logistics, procurement, and inventory management activities supporting ex-USN, ex-USCG, and U.S.-supplied systems for multiple countries under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. This role involves executing all logistics and supply chain activities, including receipt, inventory, retention, disposition, and shipping of previously used shipboard material.
This is a short-term, contract-only position based at the Navy Yard in Charleston, SC.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive logistics support for warehouse operations and shipping to ensure material and system readiness. This includes Inventory Planning and Management, Supply Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T), and OCONUS Shipping Support.
- Oversee international logistics activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
- Develop and maintain itemized lists of required parts and materials for existing and incoming inventory.
- Serve as a liaison with local authorities, logistics teams, shipyard managers, and project personnel to report on logistics, maintenance, and operational solutions.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring safe and efficient handling of government-owned property and material.
- Track, review, and report the status of Government/Contractor Furnished Equipment (GFE/CFE), material, and equipment configuration data.
- Provide material support, forecasting, disposal recommendations, and disposal processing.
- Coordinate with DLA and DRMO activities to facilitate the disposal of designated material.
- Research supply chain issues and implement preemptive solutions to mitigate potential problems.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in logistics planning and execution, supporting a naval surface or undersea program/project office (e.g., NAVSEA, NSWC, planning yards).
- Experience in warehouse/logistics planning, supply support, packing/handling/transportation, and training.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment (onsite and remote).
- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. government clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25%) and obtain a U.S. passport.
- Current Forklift License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS and/or Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from SOLE.
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

Pay: $23.24 - $30.00 per hour
