Job Title: Area Maintenance
Location: Tampa, FL 33613
Duration: 3 Months (with potential extension)
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00/hr on W2 (No Benefits)
Shift:
- Sunday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
- OR Tuesday through Saturday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Note: Interview required.
Job Summary
The Area Maintenance Technician performs routine preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems throughout the facility. This includes inspection, testing, and repair of equipment in accordance with established procedures. The role supports general facility maintenance and assists other trades as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
- Perform essential repairs and tasks as requested.
- Conduct tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems under supervision.
- Respond to in-house Work Orders and Preventative Maintenance tasks promptly.
- Assist with emergency calls and on-call requirements as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulations.
- Update and maintain maintenance logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient in conversational English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Practical problem-solving skills in diverse situations.
- Basic knowledge of calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Familiarity with safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Entry-level (0 years required).
- Licensure: Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Licensure: Apprentice License (required only in Texas).

Pay: $20.81 - $28.00 per hour
