Microbiology Laboratory Technician

• Job Title: Microbiology Laboratory Technician
• Location: Indianapolis, IN 46268
• Duration: 12 Months Contract (Extendable, possibly perm.)
• Timing : M-F Days 8am - 5pm
• Pay: $25/hr on W2 without benefits
• Client: Research & Development

Note-Any specific skills, requirements or experience in a candidate: demonstrated experience with aseptic techniques, and microbial cultivation, BS in Biology, Microbiology or related field, previous experience in laboratory required, experience with automation and liquid handling (preferred)

Must have:

• BS in Microbiology or related field
• Within 1-2 years of degree preferred
• Proven experience with microbes, beyond academic courses
• Proven experience in research lab setting.

Job Description:

Educational Requirements:

BS in Science (Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related fields) is required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Work: This position involves working in a laboratory setting, conducting experiments, handling laboratory equipment and it is 100% site based. Routine research laboratory specific activities might be different base on the different CPD&D area recruiting focus
• With guidance from supervision, assists technical personnel in microbial cultivation and enumeration and routine laboratory or information handling tasks in support of scientific research. Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.

Prior Lab Experience:

• 2 years prior relevant experience working in a research environment is required.
• Proficient with Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
