- Job Title- Purchasing Admin, Supply Chain
- Location- Highland Avenue, Norwood, OH 45212
- Duration- 2 to 3 Months Contract
- Pay - $25/hr on W2 without benefits
- Hours – 1st shift 7/9am start - 8 hours (Mon to Fri)
Your Role:
The primary objective of this role is to support daily Purchasing Operations by working closely with the team members, key stake holders and suppliers to reduce costs, optimize daily operational processes and improve performance. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of purchasing experience.
- Expedite urgent requests both internally & externally to resolve various operational issues
- Daily interaction and communication with suppliers to ensure PO’s are delivered on time, complete and with required documentation
- Notify stakeholders on discrepant deliveries (incorrect specifications, quantity variances, documentation non-compliance)
- Work closely with functions to communicate product quality problems and oversee timely disposition and process of rejected materials
- Coordinate with suppliers and accounts payable on resolving billing issues
- Monitor and improve vendor delivery performance
- Manage and expedite open purchase orders and provide weekly reports
- Special projects involving data collection and maintenance in SAP
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline OR 2 years’ experience in Production Planning, Scheduling and Procurement
- 2 years’ experience in moving material through the product delivery cycle proficient with a PC and data analysis
- 2 years’ experience in supply chain planning, scheduling, and procurement
- 2 years SAP Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from APICS or IBF
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Qlik, Palentir, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities while driving results for continuous improvement.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in written and electronic record keeping.
- Strong communication skills a must
- Strong Organizational skills a must
- Must be able to prioritize daily/weekly tasks based on criticality with minimal direction
- Basic knowledge of material requirements planning & purchasing roles
- Project Management Experience a plus
