What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager position at Gravity?
The Branch Manager provides leadership and supervision of the Branch personnel and operations to ensure that the best possible balance of customer needs and Company objectives are achieved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works with ethics, honesty, values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
• Makes sales calls on a regular basis to both new and current accounts. These calls should be made both individually and on a joint basis with the sales staff.
• Develops strategies and tactics for resolving customer conflicts in a manner that not only reduces customer frustration but preserves company profitability.
• Hires and trains employees as required to ensure proper coverage and cross training. Creates opportunities for team members to learn, grow and expand their skills and experience.
• Ensures that the order entry/invoicing procedures are carried out in a timely, accurate and effective manner. This includes ultimate responsibility for correctly completing and then approving all delivery tickets.
• Responsible for all equipment assigned to the branch to include proper maintenance, storage and inventory control.
• Ensures that all hiring, disciplinary actions and termination decisions are carried out according to Company policy and in accordance with all applicable laws.
• Monitors aged Receivables Report and follows up with delinquent accounts in order to keep “days sales in accounts receivables” at or below targeted level. Coordinates these efforts with the Revenue Manager.
• Develops and maintains schedule for nightly and weekend phone coverage to ensure the best 24/7 customer service.
• Sets goals and keeps performance on track to meet those goals.
• Fosters a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and branch employees, as well as corporate staff.
• Completes all safety and equipment-related trainings required on a monthly basis.
• Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
