Sales Associate - Cashier

GravyWork is a leading hospitality staffing agency proudly serving the Florida area. We are excited to partner with Flamingo Adventures to meet their staffing needs and provide exceptional service to their guests.

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while handling transactions accurately and efficiently. This role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Schedule: 9am-3:30pm Tues,Wed & Thurs
*Must pass background check *

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a smile and provide assistance with questions about products, promotions, and policies.
• Describe merchandise and explain the use, care, and operation of products to customers.
• Recommend and locate merchandise based on customer preferences and needs.
• Accurately compute sales prices, process payments, and issue receipts, refunds, or credits.
• Maintain a clean, organized cash station and sales area.
• Stock and replenish inventory and ensure neatness in the retail operation.
• Turn in cash drawer and reconcile sales at the end of the shift.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Stay aware of safety concerns and report them promptly to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Partial High School education required; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience are required.
• Interest and knowledge of local landmarks, monuments, and memorials are a plus.
• Professional appearance and excellent sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to attend to guests at a high standard.
• Ability to pass cash handling training.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to escalate issues to management effectively.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

• Ability to move frequently within the store and perform tasks on foot.
• Lift, carry, and push items up to 10 lbs. regularly, 10-15 lbs. frequently, and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
• Withstand indoor/outdoor temperature extremes.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and work in a fast-paced environment.

Equipment Used:

• Cash register and computer systems used in the retail unit.
