Position: PowerBI Developer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Status: Full-time exempt
Position Description:
The candidate will serve as a PowerBI Developer for a government project office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with a focus on Mission Command systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business management analysts, operations, and other directorates to build data analytics outputs and knowledge management components for an Army Project Office.
- Use a variety of platforms, tools, and financial management systems to create a data analytics environment, using Power BI, for use across all levels of the Project Office.
- Responsible for the end-to-end process of gathering initial requirements, data source capture, and data modeling to develop Power BI Reports with advanced data visualizations.
- Administrate, maintain, and sustain the Power BI-based environment hosted by the Army.
- Analyze existing business processes, information workflow, data storage, and control procedures to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and process improvement.
- Create Power Apps to optimize staffing and other internal operational processes within the Project Office, as well as automation solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus).
- A high degree of skill with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Proven experience working with Microsoft PowerBI data model, dashboard design, and implementation with data visualization best practices.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize and complete multiple projects
- The ability to work with minimum guidance in addressing actions and then use knowledge, ingenuity, innovation, and experience to complete the product.
- Ability to take direction and function independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and customers within an office environment. Excellent communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
Other Qualifications:
- JavaScript and/or JSON experience is preferred.
- Experience in HTML/CSS and CMS tools is desired.
Security Requirements:
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
