Position: Senior Program-Level Software System Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Status: Full-time exempt
Position Description
This is a Software System Engineer position supporting the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems. The candidate in this role will work with both contractors, government civilians and system operators.
Key responsibilities for within this position are developing system level features that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation. Tasks for this position also include leading reviews, adjudicating comments made against the features, and using an MBSE approach to document the features using an Agile workflow.
Selected candidate must be within recruiting distance or willing to relocate at their own expense to Huntsville, AL.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Data, or a related field.
- 7 years of system engineering experience
- Experience in tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Strong record of taking initiatives and being a team player in a small team environment.
- Must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage in various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users.
- Must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
- System engineering experience in support of DoD programs, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
- Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence as well as SAFe© Agile experience.
- US Citizenship Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance after start date
