Position: Solution-Level Systems Engineer
Location: Huntsville, AL
Status: Full-time exempt
Position Description
This is a System Engineer position supporting the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems. The candidate in this role will work with contractors, government civilians and system operators to develop system level concepts that provide solutions to problems that often involve multiple systems from multiple product offices. These concepts define external interfaces, outline system behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to support HW and SW engineering teams. Tasks may also include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the concepts. Concept development will utilize a model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach in an Agile workflow and environment.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field is required for this position.
- 7 years of system engineering experience.
- Experience in one of more of the following areas: technical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirement decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Demonstrated experience taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
- Must be comfortable working as a team player in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions can meet the needs of intended users.
- Must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
- Systems engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, specifically in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
- Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SAFe© Agile is preferred.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a U.S. Secret security clearance.
