Job Summary/Description:
WBNG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Binghamton, NY, has an opening for an energetic Meteorologist. The right candidate will produce and present multiple weather segments in our newscasts and excel at severe weather coverage. We’re looking for a self-motivated candidate who is committed to quality and connecting with the viewers. A passion for both weather and live-in-the-field reporting is a must.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• All aspects of local weather forecasting/monitoring
• Producing forecasts and delivering them both on-air and online
• Create and post social media content
• Help fill in for other meteorologists as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• This is a full-time position that requires some schedule flexibility at times to meet the needs of the department.
• A college degree in meteorology or its equivalent is preferred.
