Job Summary/Description:
A Multi-Media journalist is responsible for gathering daily news content and telling a compelling story through creative writing and video editing for broadcast and digital platforms. MMJ’s cover all types of daily news stories from light-hearted to tragic. The MMJ is also required to cover breaking news with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Research, write, and edit daily content for television and digital platforms
• Post stories and updates to the station website and social media
• Operate and contribute to the team environment
• Meet deadlines and prioritize assignments
• Deliver information live on broadcast and digital platforms using assigned equipment inclusive of the camera, TVU backpack
• Appear at station-sponsored events and promote the station and its brand
• Research and schedule future stories and features.
• Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
• College Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field preferred
• Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
