Job Summary/Description:
KTIV is seeking an Anchor / MMJ to join our team. We are looking for a strong journalist with excellent news judgment and leadership skills. This position requires a high level of creativity and communication. The ideal candidate must be able to produce and deliver dynamic, compelling, and understandable information on our newscasts and digital platforms. Strong leadership, teamwork, and accuracy are a must. Our anchors are involved in the community and involved in the newsroom. The schedule for this position is NOON (M - F).
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Anchor/Produce the KTIV News 4 at Noon hour M-F
- Shoot, write, and edit content for the newscasts and our website
- Report live from the field for planned and breaking coverage
- Generate story ideas and build local contacts
- We are looking for someone who is both a team player and a solo star.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Excellent writing skills, news judgment, and ethics
- Degree in Journalism or Communications
- Driven to enterprise organic news content
- Understands digital/new media platforms and strategy
- Smooth and effective delivery of content for live broadcast
- Strong work ethic, organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to make deadline
- Integrity, accountability, teamwork
