Job Summary/Description:
The Commercial Production Producer is a highly skilled writer/photographer/editor/graphic designer and will create powerful on-air commercials, and social and digital content to market to local clients and stations.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work with the station's creative services and sales departments to service advertising clients.
- Conceptualize and work directly with clients to execute effective marketing messages.
- Storyboarding concept for presentation and execution.
- Write, direct, shoot, and edit content for client commercials and station promotions
- Create graphics as needed
- Present the finished product for review and edit as needed.
- Work with other departments to ensure content is available as needed, i.e. with master control or traffic
- Collaborate with the Creative Services team on station events
- Assist in maintaining equipment and troubleshooting issues
- Stay up-to-date on new equipment, software, and industry trends
- Assist others in editing or shooting projects
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Equivalent work experience may suffice.
- 3 years experience in commercial production. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop;
- Highly creative, and open to feedback and collaboration.
- Work well within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills: writing, presentation, interpersonal
- Proficient in shooting with DSLRs and professional-grade video cameras
- Master in lighting, shooting, and editing
- Knowledge of the post-production process, including media management and encoding video to various formats
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines, able to adapt to changing deadlines while presenting a calming and confident presence
- Proficiency with office equipment, including laptops and MS Office Applications
- FAA Drone Certification is a plus
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for varying distances.
- Must have or be able to attain a valid driver’s license. Driving record should not have any major convictions, no more than one minor conviction, or a fault accident in the last 3 years. Proof of insurance is required.
- The assigned schedule is subject to change. Evening, weekends, and holiday work may be required. Work performed onsite and in the field. Must provide COMMERCIAL REEL demonstrating advanced production knowledge.
