About KCRG:
KCRG is seeking a skilled writer/filmographer/graphic designer to write, shoot, and edit commercials for advertising clients as well as station promotions. Candidate must be a skilled visual storyteller with skills in writing, cinematography, and Adobe Creative Suite editing programs, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects. This individual is a hands-on producer with interpersonal skills to communicate needs to on-camera individuals to achieve the best production results.
Job Summary/Description:
KCRG is seeking a skilled writer/filmographer/graphic designer to write, shoot, and edit commercials for advertising clients as well as station promotions. Candidate must be a skilled visual storyteller with skills in writing, cinematography, and Adobe Creative Suite editing programs, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects. This individual is a hands-on producer with interpersonal skills to communicate needs to on-camera individuals to achieve the best production results.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively with a diverse group of staff
- Usage of Adobe Creative Suite and its various programs
- Create ideas, write scripts, and coordinate commercial shoots with both sales staff and advertising clients
- Shoot and edit on multiple camera formats
- Maintain an ability to adapt to changes in work environment and locations
- Present ideas and gain approval and satisfaction from clients
- Practice self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Time management skills and day-to-day project flexibility are required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- News station experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in film production/videography preferred
- Ability to communicate both internally with staff and externally with advertising clients
- Knowledge and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Flexibility when it comes to scheduling and on occasion working an evening, weekend, and/or holiday
- Availability to be present at commercial shoot locations and in person for editing
- Capable of providing a valid driver's license and the ability to drive company-owned vehicles
