Job Summary/Description:
KPLC-TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic MMJ/Anchor to join our news team. Successful candidates must be a proven leader who is motivated and passionate about storytelling. The ideal candidate must be an effective communicator who excels in reporting. The ability to cultivate sources and produce enterprise stories is a must. Applicants must have a love for local news, a passion for creative storytelling, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to generating own story ideas, setting up own interviews, shooting, and editing stories, write broadcast and digital versions of stories. Also, maintain professional social media accounts, assist producers in showcasing stories, and anchor at least one 30-minute newscast per weekday.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Qualifications include possessing a strong live reporting skill and be driven by breaking news.
- The successful candidate must also be proficient on all digital platforms and meet mandated social media goals outlined by management.
- Experience in shooting and editing own stories, a college degree in journalism or a related field is also required.
- Driving is required for this position, so an MVR check is required.
