Job Summary/Description:

WLBT-TV in Jackson, MS is looking for a highly qualified candidate to be the next Multimedia Sales Manager. This person must be highly motivated to lead a team of 15 salespeople in the highly dynamic world of broadcast and digital sales. The candidate must have a proven track record of growing market share, building successful client partnerships, coaching, training a local team and staying relevant in the ever-changing world of broadcast and digital sales. The ideal candidate is goal oriented, driven, and able to motivate the local sales team to achieve their individual sales goals. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, communicate across departments, ensure projects and campaigns are executed as proposed and sold, extremely organized with great time management skills.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Driving digital revenue growth and achieving revenue targets with a focus on new local direct business
  • digital training to the sales team
  • Assisting Multimedia Executives in presenting and closing business
  • Developing sales presentations and collateral using up-to-date research materials
  • Maintaining campaign tracking, delivery, and reporting to ensure campaign success
  • Working at a partnership/consultative level as an expert in digital advertising with Multimedia executive and advertisers
  • Recruiting and hiring

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience in guiding, motivating, and leading a successful sales team
  • Strong leadership skills, highly organized
  • Comfortable holding team members accountable to their budgets and goals while helping them achieve success
  • Ability to translate and communicate problems into opportunities
  • Presentation experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, manage time wisely, and prioritize projects and people
  • The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3-5 years of managing digital sales
  • Strong computer skills
