Job Description/Summary:
This is not a position for a first-time anchor. We're looking for someone who will be involved in the community, a mentor to younger journalists, and someone with a great passion for journalism and storytelling.

- Lead by example, both in the newsroom and in the community.
- Understand and execute ethical, responsible news judgment.
- Develop strong community sources and generate enterprise story ideas from them.
- Actively engage in the editorial process and mentor younger journalists.
- Help lead news staff, providing insight, guidance, managerial feedback, and reporter script approvals.
- Demonstrated experience anchoring a range of newscasts and telling engaging stories.
- Experience with investigative journalism and developing enterprise content.
- Education background in either journalism or communications.
- Some leadership experience is required.
