Job Summary/Description:

WOWT is on the hunt for a dynamic storyteller with a passion for news. We need a Producer with excellent journalistic judgment who can break down complicated subjects in an engaging and memorable way. This person must be an excellent writer, possess strong leadership and organizational skills, and be able to perform well under daily deadlines.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Line produce live newscasts
• Select content
• Write scripts for broadcast and digital platforms
• Communicate with anchors, assignment desk, field crews, and others to ensure execution of a high-quality newscast
• Produce live breaking news and special event coverage

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, or related field
• Previous experience as a producer preferred
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends, and possible overtime hours.
• Must be willing to work in Omaha, NE
