Job Summary/Description:
Alaska's News Source is looking for a full-time, evening news photojournalist/video editor who is responsible for shooting and editing video/sound for our broadcast and digital platforms. Excellent videography, editing and news interest are all a must for this critical position. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, geared towards a high-paced news environment. You must be able to work independently and with other staff members to conduct interviews, respond to breaking news and deliver live shots under tight day-turn deadlines. This shift is Wed-Sun 1:30p-10:30p (with a one-hour lunch break).

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for shooting and editing news video and sound for broadcast and publication on all of the station's digital platforms
- Must display competence in news videography and video editing, including journalistic and ethical integrity
- Must be capable of gathering news independently or as part of a team
- Must pitch stories daily for news coverage
- Travel is required as news assignments/coverage warrants
- On-call work is required on a rotation with other staff members
- 1 years experience as a News Videojournalist/Editor
- College degree (Journalism or related field) is preferred
- Must hold a valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Must have the desire to be at work during big breaking news, weather coverage and special events
