Job Summary / Description :

WXIX FOX19 is searching for a dynamic, engaging Chief Meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather Team. You must possess superior forecasting, storytelling, and communication skills. You must have the ability to lead & inspire a team. We are looking for a meteorologist adept in all aspects of meteorology, including forecasting, graphics presentation, digital presentation, and social media. You will be responsible for delivering accurate & compelling weather forecasts with an emphasis on lifestyle forecasting.

Duties / Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Take ownership and execute our First Alert Weather Brand
• Respond urgently to breaking & severe weather events on all platforms, including linear, digital, and social media
• Produce / Anchor weather reports on all platforms in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner
• Lead weather coverage & special weather reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity
• Strong leadership / teamwork is a must as our meteorologists are involved in the newsroom & Community
• Must have a positive attitude; will be an ambassador for the station by making personal appearances at community events
• Be fluent in the latest weather technology
