A leading wealth management firm in Guilford, CT is seeking a Wealth Management Associate to support Financial Advisors in Client Service, New Business Processing, and Portfolio Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare paperwork as directed by the advisor.
- Complete and double check all paperwork for items that need to be added, signatures, dates, initials, etc.
- Submit applications to carrier with client's check, rollover paperwork, and transfer paperwork.
- Follow up on all pending transfers by checking carrier website or contacting companies directly.
- Frequently communicate with clients regarding the activity of their accounts that are being established.
- Add advisor notes for each client meeting into database.
- Provide backup for the Client Service team as needed.
- Follow up on task list daily through database management or other established system.
- Check your clearing firm's site daily for transfer activity if advisor is securities licensed.
- Maintain an updated listing of carrier websites, user IDs, passwords, etc.
- Perform RMD procedures.
- Create new client files.
- Create/maintain a new business log for advisors pending and paid business.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years' experience in finance, bookkeeping, and/or accounting.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to perform research to resolve commission and related issues.
- Familiarity of financial products such as life and annuities is a plus.
