Position Overview/Description:
The Regional Sales Manager at GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC will be responsible for leading and managing all sales activities within a designated geographic region. This role is for the Regional Sales Manager – Pacific Northwest (PNW): Oregon and Washington. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry, strategic sales execution, and the ability to drive growth in key markets. The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales and the sales team to develop and implement effective strategies, drive business opportunities, and build strong relationships with clients in sectors such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic institutions, and healthcare.
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in the growth and success of GrayMar Environmental Services LLC, in your assigned region. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding the market presence, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, all while managing a high-performing sales team. This role offers significant opportunities for personal and professional development, with the potential for advancement as the company continues to grow and evolve.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute regional sales strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives within the region, providing coaching and support to ensure the achievement of regional sales targets.
- Key Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects within the assigned region, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Monitor regional market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on regional sales performance, including forecasts, KPIs, and opportunities, to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company objectives and streamline customer solutions.
- Customer Acquisition: Identify and target new business opportunities, using both strategic and organic selling methods to expand the customer base.
- Industry Networking: Attend regional industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
- Permanent Duties:
- Regional Leadership: Provide leadership and direction for the sales team in your region, ensuring collaboration and coordination across multiple states and locations.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage and prioritize the sales pipeline to maximize revenue and ensure a steady flow of new opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring retention and growth of business within the region.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly provide detailed reports on sales activities, revenue projections, and performance metrics to the Director of Sales and leadership team.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve regional sales processes, driving efficiencies and ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven ability to manage and lead a sales team, with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- A solid understanding of the Environmental industry, including knowledge of technologies, trends, and market drivers.
- Strong sales acumen with demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, close deals, and achieve targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, evaluate sales data, and drive informed decision-making.
- Proficient in using CRM tools (such as HubSpot), Google Sheets, and other sales management tools to track performance and manage client relationships.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven with a proactive approach to sales.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a hands-on approach to developing talent.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passionate about customer service and maintaining long-term, meaningful relationships with clients.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the laboratory equipment, environmental services, or water purification industries.
