What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Manager position at GrayRobinson, P.A.?
GrayRobinson, a full-service law and government consulting firm with 16 offices in Florida and Washington, D.C., has an immediate opening for a Communications Manager based in our Orlando office. This position reports to the Communications Director. The Communications Manager works with the Communications Director to execute communication strategies to enhance the firm's reputation and promote its shareholders across industry and geographic markets. This position works closely with shareholders, firm professionals, and members of the Client Development Department to ensure consistent messaging and effective internal and external communication.
The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include :
- Reinforcing firm-wide media strategy and policies in all work and among all firm offices
- Overseeing the Communications Coordinator and their day-to-day responsibilities, including the drafting of promotional opportunities, cataloging media mentions, and building media lists
- Maintaining the content calendar for all internal and external communications
- Serving as a primary point of contact for the Communications Team for lateral onboarding, media placement, thought leadership, promotional opportunities, and social media
- Monitoring media coverage and industry trends, providing real-time updates and recommendations for rapid response
- Fostering positive relationships with media personnel
The successful candidate should have 5 years or more experience working in a professional service organization (law firm experience is a plus) and a bachelor's degree (related field of study is preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are a must. Demonstrated project and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, are required.
