What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal - Trust and Estates Administration position at GrayRobinson, P.A.?
GrayRobinson, a full-service law and government-consulting firm with 16 offices in Florida and Washington, D.C., has an immediate opening in our Naples office for a full-time experienced, Trusts and Estates Administration Paralegal. It’s preferred that the successful candidate be a Florida Registered Paralegal or demonstrate eligibility for registration.
Position requires 5 years of estate and trust settlement and administration experience to handle the probate and trust administrations of high-net-worth clients. This position also requires the ability to manage important deadlines, be primarily responsible for the collection of asset information, handle day-to-day client and third-party correspondence, and timely drafting of related pleadings and administration documents. Candidates possessing experience with Florida administrations and the preparation of estate tax, gift tax, and fiduciary income tax returns are preferred. Those with experience handling administrations of estates and irrevocable trusts involving federal estate tax returns in other jurisdictions are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be proactive, experienced in simultaneously managing multiple matters and time sensitive projects, and able to plan for deadlines and foreseeable issues in the administration process. Prior experience in assisting with the preparation of wills, trusts (revocable and/or irrevocable), and related estate planning documents for high-net-worth clients is preferred. Keen attention to detail, strong client communication skills, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, excellent organizational, communication, and technology skills are required. Necessary computer skills include Microsoft Office programs, and experience with GEMS, ProSystems, and/or other estate tax return and fiduciary accounting software is desired.
