Financial Aid Assistant (part-time):
Provides mid-level clerical and administrative support to various educational programs or departments.
**This is a temporary position, with employment ending no later than 9/30/2025, or earlier if necessary.**
The salary range for this position is $14.99 to $22.49 per hour.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 60% Performs clerical duties such greeting and directing students, guests, and other visitors to the appropriate person, answering phone, and responding to email requests.
- 15% Advises students/parents on the Financial Aid process and programs.
- 15% Updates student information in the Student Information System/CAMS as needed to maintain accurate records.
- 10% Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals).
- Other Skills: Keyboard and 10 key calculator skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Basic customer service skills; demonstrates courtesy and respect towards others Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with aptitude to learn the phone system, email system, and other technology applications.
- Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.
- Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
