A Salesforce.com Technical System Administrator plays a crucial role in the effective functioning of a Salesforce CRM system, focusing on the day-to-day configuration, customization, and maintenance of the platform. Responsibilities include user management, data integrity, and process automation to ensure optimal system performance and user experience. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 20%- Configure, customize, and maintain the system to meet the organization's needs.
- 20%- Develop and implement automation processes using workflows, process builder, and flows, configure custom objects, fields, page layouts, and record types.
- 20%- Create custom reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for various departments.
- 20%- Design and implement custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- 10%- Collaborate with business users to define SQL reporting requirements and deliver reports in a timely manner. Develop and maintain SQL queries and reports to extract data from the CRM database.
- 5%- Oversee the development and integration of third-party applications and tools.
- 5%- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of CRM application.

tools. Strong understanding of Salesforce data model and architecture. Experience with Salesforce integration and API-based development.
Knowledge of best practices for security, performance, and scalability in Salesforce. Experience with implementing Cloud based Salesforce ERP modules. Strong understanding of the SDLC, various automation tools developing CI/CD pipelines, & designing and implementing Agile work management approach. Knowledge of CRM best practices and data security standards
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for the purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation, e.g., active participation in the SF.com community and user groups.
Other Skills: Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, ability to step through complex
queries, familiar with indexing strategies, creating stored procedures, creating triggers, and
utilizing views. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.
Work Environment: Hybrid, primarily remote. Some in-office meetings & campus collaboration.
