Position: Juvenile Probation Officer
Unit: Juvenile Supervision
Minimum Salary: $55,000.00.
Duties Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and evaluating all cases
assigned by the Deputy Director and Sr. Juvenile Probation
Officer. The officer determines appropriate case actions
through the assessment and interview processes. Prepares
reports for presentation to the Court. Provide supervision of
cases under the jurisdiction of the Court and Juvenile
Services. Counsel and assist juveniles and their families.
Qualifications: EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION GUIDELINES:
Any combination of experience and education that would
likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is
qualifying:
Experience:
Previous experience working with youth in a similar context is
preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
with major course work in criminal justice or public
administration or related field
Requirements: Must be 21 years of age. Must pass background check and
drug screen. Must meet NCIC/TCIC employment guidelines.
Experience working with delinquent youth a plus.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
