Day Care Cook

We are committed to providing a nurturing and healthy environment for children and staff alike. Our mission is to offer nutritious and delicious snacks and meals that contribute to the overall well-being and development of everyone at our center. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Day Care Cook to join our team and help us achieve this goal.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare nutritious snacks and cold-pressed food for children and staff ensuring all meals meet health and safety standards.  

• Develop and implement weekly menus that are balanced, appealing, and cater to the dietary needs of children and staff.

• Purchase and manage inventory of fresh ingredients, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective food supplies.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

• Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.

• Work closely with daycare staff to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring all children and staff are well-catered for.

• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, meal plans, and kitchen expenses.

Qualifications:

•  Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
• Strong culinary skills, with a focus on nutrition and healthy eating. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

•  Passionate about cooking and nutrition, with a friendly and positive attitude. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
