Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and processing the company’s payroll functions, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. This role requires a keen eye for detail, knowledge of payroll systems, and knowledge of applicable labor laws and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll Processing :
Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accurate calculations of hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Input, verify, and update payroll information in payroll software.
Compliance & Reporting :
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
Employee Records :
Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee compensation, deductions, and benefits.
Issue Resolution :
Address payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues or questions in a timely manner.
Payroll Audits :
Conduct regular audits of payroll to ensure accuracy.
Confidentiality and Security :
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding employee payroll information.
Technology & Systems :
Manage and troubleshoot payroll software systems.
Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.
Payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor laws.
