Our client, a leading global renewable energy company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee the monthly financial close process, ensure accurate reporting, and drive continuous process improvements. This role will collaborate closely with the Controlling Team to perform variance analysis and uphold high financial reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements
- Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations from team members
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects
- Establish best practices for financial close and reconciliation processes
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the energy or related industry
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
