Our client, a family office located in the city, is looking to hire a Tax Accountant.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepares and reviews tax filings at both the federal and state levels for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
• Conducts initial reviews of workpapers, identifying and considering significant tax issues
• Engages in research and analysis of essential tax matters, compiling summaries for the tax group.
• Leverages technical knowledge acquired through tax research and analysis to advise on the tax treatment of issues.
• Prepares and reviews foreign filings, including form 5471, monitors these filings, and documents analyses to substantiate the positions taken.
• Collaborates with portfolio companies to provide support in tax planning, structuring, and administration.
Qualifications
- Between 2 to 3 years of experience in public accounting, specifically in tax, or comparable experience within a family office setting.
- Proficient in advanced tax-related skills, particularly in partnership taxation, along with familiarity in handling Forms 1040, 1120S, and 1120.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research.
