We are seeking an experienced and strategic VP of Fiance to oversee our financial operations, ensuring fiscal health and operational efficiency. This role is integral to our leadership team, guiding financial decision-making and supporting the organization's long-term growth.
Position Summary (Healthcare or Nonprofit industry is strongly preferred)
The VP of Finance will direct and supervise financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and payer contract negotiations. This role requires a CPA (preferred) with extensive healthcare finance experience , a strong analytical mindset, and excellent leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of forensic accounting, NetSuite , and healthcare reimbursement structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting .
- Supervise the Call Center and Registration Services , ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Direct and coordinate accounts receivable functions, funding applications, and reimbursement reports .
- Develop and manage annual budgets, cost analyses, forecasts, and financial pro formas .
- Analyze and implement new payment structures to optimize revenue and financial performance.
- Collaborate with the President, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee , providing key financial insights and reports.
- Secure financing as needed and ensure compliance with regulatory financial requirements.
- Lead negotiations and maintain payer contracts while fostering relationships with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) .
- Oversee retirement contributions , participate in the Retirement Committee , and provide investment recommendations.
- Represent the organization in external financial meetings, public engagements, and agency collaborations .
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and organizational financial policies.
Qualifications
- CPA preferred ; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience in financial management.
- 2 years of experience in healthcare finance or a related industry preferred.
- Proficiency in forensic accounting, NetSuite, and healthcare reimbursement models .
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights.
