Job Overview
As a Senior Estimator at Graywolf, you will produce accurate, detail-oriented estimates on small and large complex projects and lead others in large, multidiscipline estimating efforts. You'll accomplish this through collaborative efforts with various GrayWolf constructors such as : piping, boilermaker, steel erection, millwright, providing the business with accurate estimates that can be successfully interpreted and executed by our Pre-Construction team.
Core Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze blueprints, project specs, and other documentation presented by the client, to accurately prepare and estimate projects.
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates on new projects and estimate prices for any change-orders on existing contracts while meeting assigned deadlines.
- Collaborate with and lead other project team members on building to specifications.
- Appraise and communicate to leadership potential risks and / or costs not fully captured in the estimate that may impact costs of the project.
- Read and interpret job bid instructions, blueprints, detailed specifications, prepare a "take off" of materials included in the job, estimate all necessary labor, materials, buyout items, equipment costs (including crane costs) in order to prepare a thorough price estimate.
- Comfortably discuss alternative recommendations on projects in which leadership requires alternative estimates to meet clients needs.
- Work directly with Graywolf Sales and Pre-construction Teams to understand the project size, scope, and timelines of projects deadlines.
- Type and organize detailed estimates in our customized in-house software.
- Compose complete and accurate proposals, consisting of a complete scope definition and clarifications, project schedule, and accurate pricing in required format.
- Present estimates and proposals to leadership and key executive members as required.
- Communicate professionally and independently with customers regarding provided information in their inquiry, as well as information presented in our proposals.
- Collaborative interaction with other key members, teams, and Graywolf departments.
