A Material Coordinator will prepare, issue, and control production schedules. Within this role, you will be responsible for coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. In addition, you will provide status updates to internal customers of work in progress, material availability, and potential production barriers.

A Material Coordinator will prepare, issue, and control production schedules. Within this role, you will be responsible for coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. In addition, you will provide status updates to internal customers of work in progress, material availability, and potential production barriers.
Essential Duties:
- Logistics support to the programs includes packaging, handling, shipping, and transportation of equipment in accordance with company standards, as well as receipt, storage, issuance, tracking, documentation, and control of equipment.
- Coordinate with government shipping and government management to provide timely responses and solutions.
- Perform efficiently in warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company.
- Maintain the company inventory by routinely organizing cleaning and cataloging items.
- Schedule large shipments and coordinate storage space for incoming items and staff for shipment management.
- Manage issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Troubleshoot and solve shipping issues and customer complaints that arise.
- Maintain accurate inventory and location of all items at all times.
- Document all logistic movement.
- 2 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing/Production Operations, MRP, Materials Planning, Inventory Control and/or Supply Chain.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
- Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
- Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
- Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Work at heights with fall protection, work from manlifts, baskets, JLG’s etc.
- PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
