Core Responsibilities
- On-Site Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of welding, fabrication, and construction activities to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry codes.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action requests, maintaining accurate records of all inspections and findings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to communicate quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Testing: Perform material testing as required, including destructive and non-destructive testing methods, to verify material properties and integrity.
- Training and Guidance: Provide training and mentorship to construction staff on quality control procedures, welding standards, and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings through quality initiatives and effective vendor selection.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Quality Reporting: Develop and provide periodic reports on quality control activities and key performance indicators.

- Thorough understanding of quality control principles and practices, including welding standards (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Knowledge of construction materials and processes, particularly in industrial settings.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and Blue Beam PDF Software. Experience with Oracle or other project management software is a plus.
- This position requires flexibility in working hours to fulfill project obligations, including long days, evenings, and weekends as needed. The role is primarily on-site, necessitating the ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
